Galician: Abadexo. Corbelo. Corubelo o Sarreta when it is a small specimen. Badeixo or badexo when it is a bigger one.

Spanish: Abadejo.

Description: It has a slender dull greenish brown body, silvery on the sides. Young fish have very vivid colours. The jawbone is very prominent and doesn't have any barbs.

Minimum size: 30 centimetres.
